Know the ideal sunblock for your skin

In cream, in gel or in fluid? we help you choose the right sunscreen for you.

Now that summer has started, you must take care of the ultraviolet radiation. Avoid exposing yourself during the hours of highest UV radiation (from 10 am to 3 pm) and use sunscreen, recommends Dr. Elba Naccha .Most of these products -explains- combine physical filters (micro particles of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which bounce the sun's rays on your skin) and chemical filters (such as avobenxone, meroxy and other substances that decrease the intensity of the UV radiation). There are in cream, gel and fluids.

The ideal sunscreen has to be broad spectrum, in such a way that I block UVA and UVB ultraviolet rays; be water resistant, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 50 or more, says dermatologist Betty Sandoval.

If you have oily skin , decide for a gel or fluid sunscreen, as well as protecting from ultraviolet rays, they refresh and leave a dull sensation on the face, suggests dermatologist Betty Sandova l.

In the rest of the body you can apply a sunscreen with a lower SPF than the face (SPF 30). For the product to be effective you must place it half an hour before exposing yourself directly to the sun.

In case of dry skin , opt for sunscreens in cream. These products -refers the dermatologist Elba Naccha- have components (aloe, allantoin) that hydrate the skin.

In the mixed pellet , although it is fat and also dry, one of the two always predominates. So, if you have more shine on your face, choose a gel protector, and if the problem is dry, one cream, recommends Dr. César Ramos.

Opt for gels or fluids, if you have acne, they do not clog pores. In case of rosacea (dry and tight skin), lean on sunscreen cream or gel, which are moisturizing, notes Dr. Naccha.
