Benefits of ice to take care of your skin

The application of ice on the skin improves blood circulation, eliminates spots and prevents the appearance of wrinkles. Discover other of its main benefits.

On more than one occasion you have heard "put ice" after someone has suffered a blow to some part of the body, this due to its anti-inflammatory properties. However, ice has many other benefits for skin care. But before mentioning its applications, we must bear in mind that it is not advisable to apply ice directly to the dermis and much less for several minutes.

According to Ana Beatriz de Pablo , deputy head of the dermatology service of the Austral University Hospital ( Argentina ), applying ice in this way can cause burns.Indeed, the best way to do it is to place it on a thin cloth cloth, the same that will go on the skin. Another way would be to use cloths with very cold water, in case the person is very sensitive to completely freezing water.

Ice is an ideal complement to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin. It is especially used for the face, as part of a facial therapy and is considered as a treatment of oriental origin. The application consists in rubbing the cloth with ice or ice water for several seconds in the area to be treated (it is recommended to do it in the early hours of the morning). Some of the main advantages can be:

- Combat acne, remove spots, wrinkles and burns as a result of the sun's rays.

- Improve blood circulation, which helps rejuvenation.

- Toning the face and reducing the lines of expression or the appearance of imperfections.

- Prevent black spots and close pores of the body.

- Help as a desinflammatory for blows, swollen eyes, dark circles, etc.

On the other hand, it is also beneficial for cases of dry skin. These cases increase in people who usually bathe with very hot water, which also accelerates aging. As for blood circulation, the ice has a constricting effect on the blood vessels for several seconds. When the cold is removed, the body itself sends a greater flow of warmer blood to the area, this also makes the skin has greater oxygenation.

Remember that to take care of the skin and the body in general, you also have to do physical exercises, eat a healthy diet and avoid using too many chemicals.
